From Kay Potack Brodsho, on Wednesday, December 30, 2009

We send our deepest sympathy to your mom, daughters and family members. I was so blessed to have Evie as a “fairytale dad” in my life. I looked up to him, respected his discipline. I felt so safe whenever we had fires in our home. We could depend on your Mom and Dad to help us through the tough time during those weekend fights with my mom and Paul. Cherie and Janice what a wonderful Dad you have. When I think of your dad I just smile. He has a special place in my heart as does your Mom.

I am glad I got to visit with both of your parents this summer.

To Alice my neighborhood Mom. “I love you” You looked so beautiful this summer. I wished I could of stayed days with you to laugh at the dumbest things that us girls thought we got away with. Ha! The women with the eyes in back of her head. (I still think you have the best apples in town!)

Cherie and I are BLOODSISTERS!, we cut out arms and joined our bleeding cuts together so were sisters forever!!!

To Cherie and Lil Janice, Thank you for the childhood memories. I pray for every minute, every hour the healing of pain and loss will subside. The raindrops, the snowflakes, the hints of God sending his reassurance that dad is in his care. The happy teardrops, the snowflakes, This season will be his reminder that dad is always with you.

Takecare. As always

Kay & Family

From Janie Fish, on Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Losing the family patriarch is hard – my sincerest condolences to all. I recall how much he doted on Alanna & Andy and how kind he was to give my husband a tour of his boat – a memory he still recalls vividly. Grampa Jim had a long, rewarding life and he is now at peace. –

From Diane Murphy, on Monday, September 13, 2010

So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I’m Pete & Mildred’s youngest daughter, and heard the news from Uncle Bob yesterday. His wife, Aunt Betty also just passed away. We always looked forward to your visits and my parents so often told tales of the good ole days including your father. I think my dad loved him like a brother. My thoughts are with your family at this time, and please know that we’re very sorry for your loss. –

Although we have never met, I wanted to offer my deepest sympathies. You can turn to the Holy Scriptures for help. For Psalms 34:18 assures us that God is near to those broken at heart and saves those crushed in spirit. He will certainly comfort your heart.

From Mark & Nancy Brown, on Thursday, January 12, 2012

You have our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Dad.

Forty years ago, I met him at a softball game. I played against him, with him, and for him… it was a pleasure, plus fun. You just can’t forget that smile.

And at every Ashland High School event, there he was backing all the kids and the school. And ya, every time we talked, he had the gum. Then he always told us how his children were doing. Man he was proud of you kids, and rightfully so.

Fran did some bulldozing for us at our cabin and every year visitors ask us who did the work. We are always proud to say “Fran Jolma”

We are proud to say we knew your parents… darn proud!

From Marquell, on Friday, November 19, 2010

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. There is a void that cannot be replace. The life insurance we buy is really preparation for death. But the life insurance Jehovah God offers is the destroying of death itself and all the things we can think of that causes it. He will do this through His Kingdom that His Son Jesus Christ is King of. We can gain comfort now through the Bible. And in the very near future we will hold our love ones again. We all will live happy healthy lives forever in exquisite delight and in an abundance of peace here on earth.

To the family of Ruth E. Karaba

Many condolences to the family for the loss of a good woman. I will miss the wealth of information Auntie Ruth had about our family. I was able to pull together so much of the genealogy with her help. Her memories and stories were a great treasure. It’s sad to think she was the last of her brothers and sisters. It’s hard to think of that generation as having moved on. Enter Code xm3x7

-

From Arnie and Kathy Nevala, on Saturday, February 13, 2010

We would like to offer our sympathy to the family of Rose. She was a good neighbor to us. Rose and I used to walk together once for a time. Not long, but it helped both of us out with our own individual leg problems we had. Arn always said that Joe, her husband too, was so nice. We always noticed how nice their farm always looked and were always so farmer professional in their lives.(I’m talking about cleanliness, good tilled fields etc. and good cows etc. and buildings neat.) Now the family has taken over and it looks nice still. The farm, that is. We will miss her. She did once have me and my daughter Lori over for coffee and a real neat pastry, can not remember the name, but it looked like a doily, almost too pretty to eat. We also remember Dave Kriskovich and I remember Diane too. Our love and sympathy to you all. She will be missed. A fine lady and one of our neighbors. Kathy and Arnie Nevala
