Mark Mountain was born and raised in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of New Richmond High School, the University of Wisconsin, Stout and Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He received his Wisconsin Funeral Director’s License in 1986. Mark also maintains a license to sell insurance in the State of Wisconsin. He served his internship at Novitzke Funeral Home in Park Falls, Wisconsin and was associated with Novitzke Funeral Home and Beebe Funeral Home in New Richmond, Wisconsin, before moving to Ashland in 1994. Mark enjoys spending time with his 4 children and 4 grandchildren, Thea, Marlin, Marlow & Claire. He is an avid Brewers fan who loves watching games.

Mitchell Mountain (2nd generation Funeral Director) was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin in 1991. He graduated from Ashland High School in 2010. Mitchell went to the University of Wisconsin Stout, in Menomonie, Wisconsin where he received a bachelors degree in business administration. After college, he furthered his education at Worsham College of Mortuary Science, in Wheeling, Illinois. Mitchell graduated Mortuary Science School in 2017 and has been a licensed Funeral Director in the state of Wisconsin and Minnesota since 2018. He also is a licensed Wisconsin Life Insurance Intermediary and offers advance planning funeral policies for families who wish to pre-pay their funeral expenses. Mitchell enjoys spending time with his daughter, Marlow and wife, Anne. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Marissa Mountain was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin in 1994. She graduated from Ashland High School in 2012. Marissa went to Rasmussen University where she received a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education in 2016. She then went on to get her Apprentice Funeral Director license at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Marissa enjoys spending time with her two children, Thea, Marlin, and husband Robert. She also enjoys being outdoors hiking, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.

Sharon Mountain was born and raised in Park Falls, Wisconsin. She is a graduate of Park Falls High School, Gogebic Community College and has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1986. Sharon enjoys spending time with her 4 children and her 4 grandchildren, Thea, Marlin, Marlow & Claire. She enjoys spending time with her friends and doing crafts.

Meet Frank, the newest addition to Mountain Funeral Home! Frank is a 6 year old emotional support English Bulldog. To better help the families we serve, Mountain Funeral Home has invested in providing a well trained emotional support animal to assist you in your time of need. If you wish to have Frank present during your family's arrangement conference or visitation, just ask! He's always ready to greet you with a smile.
